Four-Day Itinerary
ArrivalDay3
Arrival at Geronimo Trail Guest Ranch

Check-in between 4-6 PM. Enjoy a tour of the ranch and settle into your cabin before dinner at 6:30 PM. Rest up for the next day’s adventures in your comfortable cabin with views of the horses and a porch sitting area for relaxing! 

Day1
Day One
  • Enjoy a delicious homemade breakfast of eggs or pancakes, bacon or sausage, freshly-baked muffins, and fresh fruit.  
  • Attend your riding orientation and instruction, then take a morning ride to get familiar with your horse, the terrain, and the area’s history.  
  • Lunch with tacos, burgers or the like, salad, fresh fruit, and homemade dessert.  
  • Take an afternoon ride or hike to experience the beauty and expanse of the Gila National Forest. 
  • Dinner features tasty home-style meals like Pecan Crusted Chicken, BBQ Ribs, Rainbow Trout, or Grilled Ribeye steaks, homemade mac & cheese, fresh vegetables, salad, homemade bread, and of course, our chef’s incredible desserts!  
  • Evening activities of your choice (campfire, line dancing, western movie, games, stargazing, etc.)
Day2_3
Day Two
  • Breakfast  
  • Picnic ride to the Dwelling Canyon. Traverse terrains with mountain views, canyons, creek crossings, and more!  
  • Enjoy a delicious, packed lunch of sandwiches and homemade cookies from our chef at the picnic spot, then explore the area’s history on foot. Climb up to Cliff Dwellings dating back over 1,000 years to the Mimbres people and view Pictographs! Learn about Basque Sheepherders who came through the area 100 years ago, as well as Tin Mining in the 1930s and 1940s.  
  • Depending on the weather, enjoy a splash in the “Cowboy/Cowgirl Bathtub” at the end of the tour, and then ride back to the ranch.  
  • Dinner and evening activities of your choice (campfire, line dancing, western movie, games, stargazing, etc.
Day5_1
Day Three
  • Breakfast
  • Enjoy another all-day ride through the incredible Taylor Creek Canyon, including the “Narrows.” This is often our guest’s favorite ride!  
  • Eat a picnic lunch at a beautiful spot near the water. Take time to relax, explore, wade, or swim before riding back to the ranch.  
  • Dinner and evening activities of your choice (campfire, line dancing, western movie, games, stargazing, etc.)
Departure

Enjoy a final delicious breakfast and depart leisurely by 10:30 AM.

  • Enjoy a tasty lunch made by our chef at the ranch.  
  • In the afternoon, drive and hike to a 1,000-year-old pueblo village from the Mimbres people. Find pottery shards and arrowheads! Everyone will love this real-life scavenger hunt! Walk across the canyon to view pictographs.  
  • Dinner and evening activities of your choice (campfire, line dancing, western movie, games, stargazing, etc.) 
Day3_1
Day Four
  • Breakfast.
  • Morning hike to get a view from above Taylor Creek Canyon and uncover some more 1,000-year-old history!  
  • Enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by our chef.  
  • Take an afternoon fishing excursion down in the beautiful Taylor Creek Canyon to try to catch the rare Gila or Apache Trout!  
  • Dinner and evening activities of your choice (campfire, line dancing, western movie, games, stargazing, etc.)
